Warrant/Fugitive Division Felony Arrest Report #PGSO

Upper Marlboro, MD…The Sheriff’s Office Warrant/Fugitive Division reported the following felony arrests:

Second Degree Arson Suspect Arrested
 


Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bryan McKie of Silver Spring, MD, on an arrest warrant for Arson Second Degree obtained by the Office of the Fire Marshall on March 10, 2016.

According to the warrant, on November 15th, 2015, McKie was in the 5300 block of Cumberland Street in Capitol Heights, MD where he is alleged to have set fire to the vehicle of a person with whom he was involved in an ongoing family dispute.  

Deputies’ received the warrant on March 11th, and after an investigation discovered that McKie resided at an address in Silver Spring, MD. Deputies went to the address where McKie opened the door. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.  
 
Burglary First Degree Suspect Arrested
 
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anthony Thomas of Northeast Washington D.C., on an arrest warrant for Burglary First Degree that was obtained by University of Maryland Police on November 9, 2015.
 
According to the warrant, on November 9, 2015, Thomas was on the University of Maryland campus inside La Plata Hall when he is alleged to have entered a dorm room where he stole a laptop before fleeing the scene. The warrant states that Thomas had been previously banned from the campus. The warrant also indicated that Thomas was seen exiting the dorm room and was identified.
 
On April 14, 2016, deputies responded to an address in the 4900 block of North Capitol Street NE, Washington D.C. Deputies knocked and a resident granted them peaceful entry and advised that Thomas was in a bedroom where he was found asleep. He was placed into custody of the Metropolitan Police Department which transported him to the D.C. Jail for processing where he awaits extradition to MD.

Thomas is also charged with Burglary Third Degree, Theft $1000 to $10,000, and School Trespass.
